Redux Dev Log 26/07/2013

Firstly and most importantly….

The STALKER games are 75% off on Steam today!

If God forbid, you don’t even own the games – buy them all! Each is special and great, and play them in the order of release – Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, Call of Pripyat, all without mods the first time.

If you already own the games retail or somewhere other than Steam, why not get a Steam copy! I’m hoping the games will get Steam trading cards, backgrounds, emoticons etc at some point, so maybe more sales will increase the likelihood of that happening!

In terms of Redux, today’s been spent finishing up all the work with the new corpse assets (which you’ll remember from a previous dev log), and starting to place them in-game. I really enjoy the idea of people stumbling across corpses placed in interesting situations and making them wonder ‘what happened here’ – telling stories indirectly for the player to experience.

As well as that, I’ve been doing more work on new interiors in Maya, since the modelers we have are working mainly on new assets, and the modelers we had working on interiors have dropped off the radar for weeks with no explanation, which is always lovely.

If you’re a dedicated 3D modeller and would like to help make interiors for Redux, get in touch!

i’d actually suggest ZRP and SRP for first time player ( Shadow of chenobyl and clear sky),which are bugfixing mod, then maybe you can use the russian voice acting mods for added immersion.

Please wait......
