Redux Dev Log 25/08/2013

I’ve been working on a new part of our brand new level that’s just been finished by TonyStalker, and I’ve been beginning to flesh it out in the SDK.

This part of the level is about the final 1/3 of the overall level, and definitely the most exciting. It’s one of those areas that’s going to make your jaw drop, there was nothing like it in any of the games. It’s extremely exciting to work on.

We’ve got a slight issue with material shaders right now, so if anyone is adept at modifying/creating X-Ray Material Shaders, please let me know!



I’ve been adding new props and details to Zaton as we’ve been developing new assets, and it’s helping to make the level feel more real – I’ll be doing the same thing to the other levels in time.

As well as this, we’re considering overhauls of the Skadovsk and Yanov Station, as they don’t feel particularly well designed, when compared to areas in Metro 2033/Last Light, for instance.

We could always use more modelers for this task however, so if you’re interested, get in touch!
